After taking off Fall 2009 due to schedule conflicts, ACCEPT is back for Spring 2010.
ACCEPT will be offering 8 sessions of music therapy with Arts for Healing’s Karen Niseenson, thanks to Caroline and Pieter Smit for their assistance obtaining a grant from The Cottonwood Foundation. This program format is different than past ACCEPT sessions.
We especially want to thank all of our volunteers without whom our program would not be a success. A special thanks also to the Glenn Howatt Foundation, OdyssyRe Foundation and Cottonwood Foundation for their financial support of this program. We look forward to many more seasons of ACCEPT.

ACCEPT is an after school adaptive sport-play program for children with special needs. It is Staffed by a Physical Therapist, a Registered Nurse and many adult volunteers.
The program debuted in Spring 2006. It has run in two sessions for most years, Fall and Spring.

After Spring 2010, the prior format for ACCEPT may be offerred again.
ACCEPT is a program for children with special needs. SYF is especially happy to offer this very special population a “fun” rather than “ therapy based” after school program. Children with special needs along with typical peers enjoy adaptive sport activities on Tuesday afternoons at Stillmeadow School. Adult and teenage volunteers are also on hand assisting the children with the different activities. We especially want to thank all of our volunteers without whom our program would not be a success.
